Meet Brittney and Chris

Brittney and Chris are a loving, faith-centered couple who deeply value family, togetherness, and living life with purpose. They live a joyful life in the country with their two sons—ages 19 and 6—and are excited to grow their family through adoption again.

Chris is a self-employed contractor with a passion for building, and Brittney is a registered nurse who loves caring for others. Their home is full of energy and affection, not only from their children but also from their beloved pets—a small indoor dog, two outdoor cats, and an outdoor dog, each a cherished part of the family.

Their Story

Brittney went to school with Chris’s younger brother and was best friends with his now-wife. They officially met at a birthday party while Chris was a single dad and Brittney was in another relationship. A few months later, Brittney visited her old friend—Chris’s brother—and when Chris walked in, everything changed.

After dating for 10 months, they married in a simple courthouse ceremony on October 12, 2011. There was no big wedding or honeymoon—just two people ready to begin a life built on love, commitment, and shared dreams. This year, Brittney and Chris will celebrate 14 years of marriage.

Interests and Hobbies

Chris enjoys riding motorcycles, working on construction projects, landscaping, and spending time outdoors. Brittney shares his love for motorcycle rides and outdoor adventures and also enjoys hiking, biking, reading, cooking, and baking—especially sourdough bread and sweet treats.

As a family, they love staying active and creating memories together. Whether it’s hiking, shopping, biking, or exploring new restaurants, Brittney and Chris embrace every chance to experience life with their children. They take one big family vacation each year—favorites have included Disney World, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, the Bahamas, and Arizona. They’re especially excited for an upcoming trip to Orlando and Key West. The family also enjoys quick weekend trips to places like Branson, the Memphis Zoo, and St. Louis.

Having grown up with few vacations themselves, Brittney and Chris make it a priority to create joyful, lasting experiences for their children.

Their Home

Brittney and Chris live on 20 peaceful acres in the countryside, set back about 600 feet from the main road. Their land offers plenty of space to run, play, and explore—a perfect place for a child to grow up surrounded by nature and love.

They are currently building their forever home on this land—a labor of love being constructed by Chris himself. It’s a project that reflects the heart of their values: family, faith, hard work, and building a future together.

Both Brittney and Chris have their concealed carry permits and take personal and family safety seriously. They are deeply committed to providing a secure, stable, and nurturing environment where their children feel safe, supported, and loved.
